Secret to Success: “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” — C.S. Lewis

Matt began his career in the financial services industry in 2008 as a Financial Advisor in Smithton, Illinois. Over his seven years in the financial world, Matt has held Financial Advisory roles within Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, and Edward Jones investments before making the move to Scheffel Financial Services. He wanted the opportunity to be able to present independent, objective, customizable strategies to his clients and found that Scheffel Financial Services was a perfect fit for his client service model.

Matt’s focus at Scheffel Financial Services is on developing financial plans and strategies for small business owners and affluent clients to help them work towards their short and long-term financial goals. Matt says he comes to work every day because he enjoys the interactions he has with his clients and associates. He likes to sit down with people and learn about their successes, their struggles, and their goals to better understand how he can help them create financial plans that work towards making their lives more comfortable and secure.

Matt grew up in O’Fallon, IL and still lives in town with his wife, Renee, and four young children, Andrew, Grace, Luke and Madelyn. When he’s not in the office, he’s busy spending time with his family and running kids to various sports events and extracurricular activities.
